Thanks to Lorraine!

I love this time of year!  I jump from one celebration to another and this morning was one of favourites, down with Lorraine at ITV studios.  I hope you enjoyed my Spicy Singapore Noodles - it is not a traditional Chinese New Year recipe but one that actually contains lots of lucky ingredients that is super easy to cook at home.  I realise not everyone can afford to go to a chinese restaurant or splash out on a feast. So if you fancy cooking something up for CNY this is a great dish.

The fusion of spices such as dried chillies and turmeric together with Chinese noodles makes this one of the best Asian fusion dishes perfect for a one-wok meal or entertaining. You can use ready cooked chicken strips or cooked prawns to make this recipe fly in the wok! Most supermarkets also have cooked rice vermicelli noodles in the fresh aisles to make this easy speedy.  Noodles symbolise longevity, bacon lardons are used as a prized animal, prawns are a homonym for laughter in Cantonese, turmeric is golden.  Fun note - some claim Singapore noodles are a bastardisation of 'mee-fun' a Hokkien noodle dish...I think Singaporeans should claim this dish quick, as so delicious!

Full recipe is on their website, itv.com/lorraine.  Send me some pictures if you decide to give it a try.

Right, no time to stop!  I am back to the US for an appearance on The Today Show.  Will send out the details later.

Love, Ching x
